Cheryl Cole has faced a talent bashing by Chris Moyles who says she ‘could bl***y do with some singing lessons’.

Speaking on his Radio One show yesterday, he discussed the auto-tuning row surrounding X Factor before playing Cheryl’s single Parachute.

But, despite admitting he was a big fan of the 27-year-old singer, he criticised her to all of his listeners and said she was in dire need of some help for her singing.

After playing her hit single Parachute, he said: ‘I love Cheryl, but that’s awful. I can’t ignore it. It’s not the best, is it? She might not need a parachute but she could bloody do with some singing lessons.’

At least she didn’t use auto-tuning as well, now that would be a scandal…

What makes you feel glamorous?

The new series of The X Factor kicked off in style with a series of inventive and entertaining performances which left judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole stunned.

While Cheryl Cole‘s malaria and Dannii Minogue’s pregnancy leave have perhaps been the most reported factors of the programme so far, the focus was most definitely back on the music tonight with a series of stunning songs from some hugely talented performers.

The most emotional performance of the night came from the Glasgow auditions in the form of 18-year-old student Gamu Nhengu.

Gamu told the judges how she wanted to give back something to her mother, who had struggled to raise her and her two brothers on her own.

Before going on stage she said: ‘We live in Scotland, just me, my two little brothers and my mum. My mum and I are really close – she’s a single parent and she pays the bills. Read full article.

But despite picking Cheryl, who’s gone on to create a successful solo career, Geri’s singing success has not been as well received.

Meanwhile, Cheryl seems to be fully recovered after being struck down by malaria and managed to attend a party hosted by Piers Morgan at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in LA on the weekend.

The X Factor choreographer met up with the Girls Aloud singer and the Dancing With The Stars professional in LA.

‘I’m very close to them both. I thought they would make a good couple and I’m so pleased to say they do,’ Brian, 33, tells the Daily Mirror.

‘They’re very, very cute together. Cheryl and Derek both seem incredibly happy right now, that’s all I can say.’

The details on this year’s X Factor judges’ houses have been revealed, according to show sources. This year the four judges will be joined by TWO helpers, as they jet off around the world to whittle down the 8 acts in their category to just three.

Simon Cowell will reportedly be joined in his L.A Mansion with US stars Clive Davis and Kelly Rowland.

Meanwhile Cheryl Cole has selected Dancer and boyfriend Derek Hough and Pussycat doll Nicole Scherzinger to aid in her choices. The trio are set to judge the 8 finalists in the groups later this month in Miami.

Louis will take Brian McFadden and Delta Goodrem with him to Nice, in the south of France.

Cheryl Cole has stepped out with Derek Hough in Los Angeles, after crediting the dancer for saving her life.

The 27-year-old singer, who wore a T-shirt bearing the slogan ‘Awesome’ as she went to see Angelina Jolie’s new film Salt at the cinema with Derek, said if the Dancing With The Stars professional hadn’t insisted doctors give her a blood test, she could have died from malaria.

She is quoted by the Sunday Mirror as telling a friend: ‘I thought I had a bad case of flu and everyone else agreed.

‘I was even told to stay at home and get some rest. The doctors were so certain it was not serious and I believed them.’

It was only after Derek’s insistence that she should have a blood test that doctors discovered Cheryl was suffering from malaria and required urgent treatment. Read full article.
