The surprisingly brilliant ‘Too Bad‘ is the best of three Sarah Harding solo tracks on the ‘St Trinian’s 2: The Legend Of Fritton’s Gold‘ soundtrack. It starts off like Julian Lennon’s ‘Too Late For Goodbyes’ then lets rip into a massive arms-aloft Dannii Minogue-style chorus, has a big sort of rapped bit in the middle, and even makes time for a little nod towards Westworld’s ‘Sonic Boom Boy’. If we may humbly suggest a placement for ‘Too Bad‘ in your Girls Aloud playlists, slotting the track somewhere in between ‘Close To Love‘ and ‘Girl Overboard‘ would probably do nicely. X FACTOR hopeful Lloyd Daniels’ mum has blamed Cheryl Cole for her son’s precarious situation on the show. Lloyd will sing his heart out again tonight to try to secure his place in the show for another week. Last week saw the Valleys’ heartthrob made the bookies’ favourite to be voted off the show, before he survived a sing-off with fellow contestant Rachel.
But if he gets voted out tomorrow, his mum Lisa will be pointing the finger of blame squarely at his mentor Cole. Lisa said Cole hasn’t made the most of Lloyd’s singing abilities and doesn’t seem to know what songs work for him. She said: “Cheryl isn’t doing him any justice. He should be able to make his own song choices – let him sing what he knows he can do best. The Jason Mraz song he chose for his first audition in Cardiff was much more suited to him and the song he sang for survival on Sunday was beautiful, even if he had lost his voice and could barely talk. He knows what works for him but Cheryl doesn’t seem to be taking any notice of that. Why is she giving him girls’ songs? First Leona Lewis and then Katy Perry – what is she playing at?” Read full article. |

X FACTOR champ Alexandra Burke said her former mentor Cheryl Cole deserves to knock her own single off the top spot this week. The winner of last year’s ITV1 contest is set to see her single Bad Boys replaced by Cheryl‘s solo debut Fight For This Love for number one on Sunday.
Alexandra’s single was the fastest-selling single of the year so far but Cheryl is on course to break that record. Alexandra raved: “Her performance on The X Factor was absolutely outstanding and I think she deserves it. “I wish her every success. She just proves the point that if you’ve been in a group and you want to leave a group and you have time off, you can still be successful.” Cheryl got mixed reviews for her performance of the song on the show last week, part of which was pre-recorded. With her glossy locks and hair extensions, impeccably groomed Cheryl Cole was a natural choice to become the face of L’Oreal hair products. But just as she launches the promotion for the beauty giant’s latest haircare product, the X Factor judge stepped out looking like her locks could do with a helping hand.
She was arriving at the ITV studios ahead of a rehearsal for tomorrow night’s first live final. Adverts featuring the Girls Aloud singer, for which she is rumoured to have been paid £500,000, ask ‘Have you lost your hair mojo?’ And it seems Cheryl‘s answer should be ‘yes’. Her hairstyles and glossy waves normally have dozens of magazine pages devoted to them, and how best to achieve her sheen. Read full article. |

Alexandra Burke’s debut album, Overcome, is to be released on October 19 – a week earlier than previously thought. It was rumoured that Alexandra – who was last year’s X Factor winner – was set to release the album on October 26, the same day as her mentor on the show, Cheryl Cole, is releasing her own debut album.
The singer’s album will now closely follow the release of her single Bad Boys, which is out on October 12. Alexandra recently praised Cheryl’s first solo single, Fight for This Love, which comes from her debut album, Three Words, calling the song “a grower”. The pair are still close friends following the show last year, and Alexandra told STV’s The Hour earlier in the week that Cheryl is “always on the other side of the phone”. Whose album will you be buying – or will you purchase both of them? Source: STV |
