CHERYL COLE‘s first single from her upcoming second album is a track called Promise This. I’m yet to hear it but the savvy star has made all the right moves for it to be a hit. Knob-twiddler WAYNE WILKINS, who produced Cheryl‘s No1-selling debut solo single Fight For This Love last year, is behind the new release. And the video, scheduled to be filmed later this week, is with major director SOPHIE MULLER, who has the likes of BEYONCE, COLDPLAY, GWEN STEFANI and KINGS OF LEON on her CV. Since recovering from malaria, Cheryl has been working flat out on the follow-up album to her chart-topping debut 3 Words. Read full article. |

CHERYL Cole will release a survival anthem to celebrate beating her near- death malaria scare. The Geordie beauty has chosen new single Promise This because of its lyrics – which relate to her battling for life in intensive care. And loveable Cheryl is set to complete her comeback by performing the up-tempo single for the first time on The X Factor’s live shows in October. I’m told the Lady Gaga-like tune is a certain No.1 after becoming an instant hit with radio station bigwigs. Seeing as I’ve not heard it yet I can only imagine what the lyrics are. But something tells me she would have struggled to find words to rhyme with malaria or mosquito. The best I could come up with was “nothing scarier” and “Mojito”. Enough said! Read full article. |

It was eye candy aplenty in The X Factor tonight, when Cheryl Cole was serenaded by a lifeguard and guest judge Katy Perry ordered him to take his shirt off. As soon as Stephen Concannon, 23, took to the stage, he had the attention of the audience and the judging panel as he told them he was a lifeguard, to which Katy replied: ‘Honey, I’m drowning! Save me please!’ And, after Stephen serenaded Cheryl during his audition, leaving the stage to sing directly to her and kiss her on the hand, Katy decided she wanted a piece of the action – telling him she would only put him through to the next round if he took his shirt off. He promptly obliged, leaving Cheryl, Katy and the female members of the audience swooning with his six pack and muscly physique. And Stephen wasn’t the only act who caught Cheryl‘s attention. CHERYL Cole will quit Britain to head up the American X Factor, according to guest judge Katy Perry. Singer Katy, 25, reckons the Geordie will be Simon Cowell’s right-hand woman when he launches the show in the US next year. The I Kissed A Girl star – on the panel tonight for the Irish auditions – said: “Simon absolutely adores her. “I’m convinced he’ll be taking her to LA. She has all the star qualities.” And Katy – engaged to comic Russell Brand – admits she’d like a guest slot on the US show herself. Read full article. |

Cheryl Cole was back on our screens last night in The X Factor auditions – looking hot in a super-sexy red Versus dress and a leopard print mini. And you can see Cheryl going for you-know-you-want-me raunchy in her 2011 official calendar. She poses in a skimpy ballet outfit, the tiniest denim hotpants and combos based on her favourite Fight For Ths Love military theme. Cheryl, 27, gets her pins out in the photos, shot in California, and looks truly sensational. Not many women can look good in clumpy black army boots but Cheryl pulls it off. Source: Now |

When it was used for X Factor contestants, it led to hundreds of complaints and threatened the integrity of the show. But even the biggest stars such as Cheryl Cole use auto-tuning to improve their vocals, according to her fellow judge Louis Walsh. The technology is so rife that for many singers it is ‘just like wearing good make-up’, he said. The multi-millionaire Irishman, 58, waded into the row yesterday after Simon Cowell confirmed that he was scrapping vocal tampering on the show. Hopefuls on last Saturday’s X Factor series opener had their voices altered before broadcast, prompting more than 300 complaints to ITV. Read full article. |
