Just two days before, she had formally begun divorce proceedings marking the end of her marriage of nearly four years. But brave Cheryl Cole, 26, proved a true professional as she performed at London’s O2 Arena last night.
On only one occasion did she reveal just some of the inner turmoil she must have been going through in recent months. At the end of her performance, Mrs Cole told the 20,000 strong audience: ‘Goodnight London and thank you. It’s been a pleasure as always. ‘I want to tell all you strong women in the house tonight, that’s my favourite word: strong.’ It was a seemingly defiant message to send out to fans.
