Wearing the obligatory oversized shades, Nicola Roberts breezes into our shoot a super-starry hour and a half late.

Muttering something about a delayed doctor’s appointment, she air-kisses her way round the Hollywood-esque entourage who have been waiting patiently for her arrival.

In the past, she was always very much the fifth member of Girls Aloud – the baby of the group, the reluctant star, often painted as the shy, slightly sulky redhead. But today Nicola is a confident, tough-talking sex kitten and fast becoming a style icon.

The low self-esteem that once tormented her has been banished and a gutsy young woman is starting to emerge.

Kimberley Walsh has admitted that she misses Girls Aloud.

The group are currently on a 12-month break, but the Suck My Pop host told OK that she cannot wait for the five girls to get back together.

“I will get excited [when we get back together] because we do miss each other and as much as it’s crazy mayhem it is good fun and it is nice having the girls to support you,” she said.

“It’s different being on your own. Bittersweet – there’s good and bad to everything, isn’t there?”

FORMER Sugababe Keisha Buchanan wants to kick-start her solo career – by writing songs for Cheryl Cole.

The singer – who popped into the Virgin Media Louder Lounge at the V Festival in Chelmsford, Essex, over the weekend – admitted to The Razz she’s excited about her future without the band.

Keisha, who was gutted to miss out on seeing Tinie Tempah’s set at the festival, revealed she’s now writing for other artists – and Cheryl is on her hitlist.

I use Pond’s Cold Cream Cleanser after I’ve showered in the morning – it’s really good value and lasts for ages. Then I moisturise with Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula, which smells amazing and keeps my skin super-soft. I’m not snobby at all about the products I use.

Your make-up must-haves?

Benefit Hoola bronzing powder, worn high on my cheekbones for a natural glow, and Bad Gal eyeliner, which I love to smudge for a worn-in look. Mac’s coral lipgloss is another all-time favourite. And I have to have mascara – I’ve been using Max Factor Masterpiece for ever.

What makes you feel glamorous?
