Katy Perry has revealed that though she had not met Cheryl Cole before today, she has admired the stars beautiful dimples from afar.

The ‘California Girls’ singer joined Cheryl, Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh at the X Factor auditions in Ireland today and just before she entered the Dublin Convention centre she spoke to Expose about the day ahead.

On what sort of judging style she planned to adopt for the wannabes Katy said:

Cheryl Cole has said that she feels successful and is happy with her position in life.

The Girls Aloud singer and X Factor judge told Harper’s Bazaar that she does not feel negative when she looks at herself.

Cole said: “When I look in the mirror I never go ‘yuck’. What I see is a successful woman doing what she loves doing and being herself.

“I don’t set myself goals as in what I wanted to achieve by 2010 or in ten years’ time – I feel like I’ve been lucky and blessed enough to achieved what I have up to now.

The X Factor 2008 winner Alexandra Burke has revealed how she is still in touch with her mentor Cheryl Cole, describing the star as ‘powerful’ and stating she’s in love with her! Speaking to 4Music, Burke said the pair ‘really connected’ during the first audition nearly two years ago.

“I remember being super nervous when I first met her,” Alexandra recalled. “I remember saying to my sister ‘Oh my god, I just want to touch her’!

“Then I got to hug her, and it was just a dream come true.”

Alex continued: “Out of all the judges her sparkle in the eye was just amazing, I mean we really connected on the first audition.

Kimberley Walsh hopes one day to launch her own clothing line.

The Girls Aloud star has been interested in fashion for as long as she can remember – she even designed clothing as a youngster.

“It’s something I’d be quite interested in doing,” Walsh says of the idea. “My mum always made clothes when we were growing up and we used to design our own dresses to wear to people’s birthdays.

“Sometimes you think up an outfit in your head and you think it would be nice to be able to create something,” Kimberley added to OK! magazine. “I wouldn’t rule it out.”

In other news, the singer is rumoured to be in talks to host the Xtra Factor next series. She will also be presenting a documentary on jeans.
