Cheryl Cole is releasing her second solo album later this year – under her married name. It will be the title of her CD which finally confirms that despite her imminent divorce from love rat hubby ASHLEY COLE she is not switching to her maiden name Tweedy. The singer, 27, fully recovered from life-threatening malaria in time to finish recording sessions in LA. X Factor judge Cheryl says her move was inspired by chart legend TINA TURNER, 70, who kept husband and bandmate Ike’s name after their 1976 divorce. And a source said: “Cheryl has decided her married name will stay. She feels the most successful period of her career has been under the name Cole. “She’s established in Europe. Going back to her maiden name Tweedy would be confusing. “It also shows she is bigger than Ashley and prepared to be grown up about a difficult time in her life. She is a fan of Tina Turner. Tina was divorced during her career but decided to stick with her married name because it was how she was best known.” Read full article. |

So her record company came up with the unlikely assumed name when she checked into a five-star London hotel. A member of staff at the £300-a-night Baglioni told The People: “We get a lot of famous people here and they can go to great lengths to remain incognito and avoid the paparazzi. “We knew Cheryl was staying and we had to keep it low key – but using the name Miss England wasn’t very original, was it?” The X Factor judge left England star husband Ashley Cole, 29, all alone at home in Oxshott, Surrey, this week while she spent three days at the hotel opposite Hyde Park, which has views across Kensington Gardens. Record company sources said she was using it as a base for a string of interviews to promote hit album 3 Words across Europe. Read full article. |
