It was eye candy aplenty in The X Factor tonight, when Cheryl Cole was serenaded by a lifeguard and guest judge Katy Perry ordered him to take his shirt off.

As soon as Stephen Concannon, 23, took to the stage, he had the attention of the audience and the judging panel as he told them he was a lifeguard, to which Katy replied: ‘Honey, I’m drowning! Save me please!’

And, after Stephen serenaded Cheryl during his audition, leaving the stage to sing directly to her and kiss her on the hand, Katy decided she wanted a piece of the action – telling him she would only put him through to the next round if he took his shirt off.

He promptly obliged, leaving Cheryl, Katy and the female members of the audience swooning with his six pack and muscly physique.

Cheryl Cole reportedly wants a baby with her suspected boyfriend Derek Hough.

The Girls Aloud star, who has returned to the gym this week following her battle with malaria is said to have realised that she wants to become a mum.

Chezza allegedly feels broody and after recovering from the deadly disease wants to prioritise her life and have her first child with Derek if their romance continues to go from strength to strength.

A source told New! Magazine: “When Cheryl was cooped up at home after her illness, she realised she isn’t getting any younger and wants to be a mum sooner rather than later.”

They added: “She said Derek is the perfect guy, so it goes without saying she thinks he would make an amazing dad.” Read full article.

The new series of The X Factor kicked off in style with a series of inventive and entertaining performances which left judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole stunned.

While Cheryl Cole‘s malaria and Dannii Minogue’s pregnancy leave have perhaps been the most reported factors of the programme so far, the focus was most definitely back on the music tonight with a series of stunning songs from some hugely talented performers.

The most emotional performance of the night came from the Glasgow auditions in the form of 18-year-old student Gamu Nhengu.

Gamu told the judges how she wanted to give back something to her mother, who had struggled to raise her and her two brothers on her own.

Perhaps she hadn’t taken into account the change in weather conditions as she arrived in London from Los Angeles today.

But Nadine Coyle‘s summery outfit of an asymmetric black top and white miniskirt did little to flatter her figure, instead highlighting her scarily thin legs and bony shoulders.

The 25-year-old star smiled for photographers as she arrived at London’s Heathrow Airport to launch her solo career, but nothing could detract from her incredibly slim physique.

This is not the first time the Girls Aloud star has been pictured looking skinnier than usual.

Cheryl is planning a tell-all interview with Piers Morgan about what her friends now refer to as her “annus horribilis” due to her malaria fight and split from her cheaing husband, England soccer star Ashley Cole.

Cheryl is said to be keen to be grilled by Piers, 45, on his hit ITV1 show Life Stories.

Our source said: “She knows people are waiting for her to say something. So she wants to do one interview with someone she can trust and then she hopes that will be it and she can begin to move on.”

Cheryl is pals with Piers after she was introduced to him by her X Factor boss Simon Cowell.

And Cheryl will follow in Cowell’s footsteps – he poured out his own heart in the popular interview show earlier this year.

Spotted dining out in Los Angeles last night with new ‘friend’ Derek Hough, there was something familiar about Cheryl Cole‘s look.

The pop star was wearing the same navy silk dress that she had worn for a romantic night out with her now-estranged husband Ashley Cole eight months ago.

Arriving at a Beverly Hill steakhouse with American dancer Hough, the 27-year-old looked healthy and tanned in her £445 Thread Social open back dress and strappy high heel sandals.

The last time Cole was wearing the dress, she was in a very different position in her life.

The 27-year-old looked a picture of health as the close friends dined at Nobu restaurant in Beverly Hills.

Cheryl was back to her glamorous self with long hair extensions and complemented the look with dangling silver earrings and a black leather jacket.

The X Factor judge and her dancer pal were rumoured to have been joined by Derek’s sister Julianne and her American Idol presenter boyfriend, Ryan Seacrest.

The run-up to the release of Nadine Coyle‘s solo album, solo single, solo ANYTHING has been so drawn-out and fraught with panic that it makes The Wanted’s now legendary single campaign look like a whimsical three-day jaunt.

We heard one of her demos several months ago and it was – we’ll be honest here readers – bloody boring, but under the expert guidance of manager ‘Big Apple Bruce’ she’s been in enough studios with enough producers and enough writers for enough time to have either accidentally sung the entire works of Shakespeare or, hopefully, taken her musical endeavours in a rather different direction.

In fact, as if by magic (or ‘Nadgic’ – we’re talking about Nadine here hahahaha) here’s some information from the Popjustice forums.

[I recently] got to hear 3 of Nadines tracks [and] all 3 of the tracks are potential singles and suprisingly VERY good. I was a bit of a GA fan, but up until now had no interest in any of Nadines solo plans.

One track was something about a person being insatiable and it was quite catchy. The 2nd track was possibly called ‘Changed / Change Me‘ and it was my favourite. The 3rd was a William  Orbit track and it had elements of ‘Untouchable‘ moments. It was a bit more ballady than the other 2, but it was definetly not a slow love song. It was quite nice but the 2nd track was the one that I could visualise hearing on the radio.

The expected? Very big vocals from Nadine. The unexpected for me? I think I will actually really like solo Nadine. She is pretty damn good.

Yes, single goes to radio in September and album out in November.

The couple – rumoured to be close to getting engaged – themselves – had a stand-up row in front of clubbers, ­inclusing Hollyoaks and Strictly stars.

My mole on Thursday at the White ­Island’s Eden nightspot tells me the row erupted when Tom grew tired of hard-partying Sarah ­hitting the sauce and flirting with fellas in the club.

And the ­argument – which marred the buzz around Camilla’s marriage to Hollyoaks actor Kevin Sacre – ended with seething Tom storming off.

A fellow clubber tells me: “Sarah was pretty wasted by anyone’s standards and somebody had said she’d had a few nights out in a row. Tommy had obviously been really patient with her throughout the holiday but he finally had enough and lost his rag with her. Read full article.
