She has been painted as the struggling waif in the wake of a horrid and very public marriage break-up.

But Cheryl Cole came back with a vengeance last night in her first live show since splitting with cheating husband Ashley.

And as the smiling star performed on the Danish X Factor last night it seemed her cheerful grin could be genuine.

A bidding war has broken out among publishers for the rights to the singer’s autobiography, with the price apparently reaching more than £5million.

Random House, HarperCollins and Penguin are all understood to be among the bidders, with industry insiders claiming competition has grown so fierce that the eventual fee could be the highest-ever paid for a celebrity’s memoirs. Read full article.

The paper claims the messages were sent in October 2008 and completely undermine Cole’s previous denial that he had text sex with a Hull mother-of-two Sonia Wild in June this year.

The newspaper today printed a series of pictures allegedly sent by the 29-year-old, including one which shows a male torso in a white pair of briefs.

Ashley’s tattoo, which extends down the side of his ribcage, appears to be visible in the frame.

In the exchanges, which are said to have taken place mainly on Friday and Saturday nights while Cheryl was working on X Factor, Ashley allegedly pleaded to keep their lurid correspondence a secret.

A message on October 9 read: ‘We both have things 2 lose i do trust u alot. And i would never show any1.’

Another read: ‘I beg u to keep this between us. Please delete all texts ill have no b**** left’. Read full article.

X Factor judge Cheryl Cole will not be joining the US version of the show, despite reports, says her mum Joan. Joan told The People that Cheryl wouldn’t want to be away from Husband Ashley for too long.

Speaking to the paper about rumours of Cheryl joining Simon on The X Factor USA, Joan said: “No, she’s not going to America, she’s staying here. She will not be going there for that.”

According to the paper, Simon has been “begging” Cheryl to join the show but she has voted herself off the project – despite a deal that would see her earn more than £80,000-a-week husband, Chelsea star Ashley Cole.

“Cheryl is really in favour of working mums but knows this would be quite hard to do in America,” Joan continued.

“She also wouldn’t be able to bear leaving Ashley for too long – not because she’s worried he’ll cheat but because she doesn’t like not being with him.”

It was reported yesterday that Cheryl was being lined up as a judge on the show alongside Paula Abdul, Jay Z and of course Simon Cowell.

With her X Factor duties over for another year, it appears Cheryl Cole has little more time on her hands to play the doting wife.

So last night the singer accompanied Ashley to the football where she watched Chelsea beat Portsmouth 2-1 at Stamford bridge.

Cheryl, who rarely attends her husband’s football matches, kept a low profile once inside the stadium.

But she was spotted leaving the venue afterwards sat in the passenger seat of Ashley’s new Bentley, complete with bright red leather interior.

The Fight For This Love singer had a huge grin on her face as she played the dutiful WAG and her £160,000 wedding ring was also firmly in place. Read full article.
